Delete Your SureMedico Account

You can request deletion of your SureMedico account and all associated data at any time. There is no charge and no waiting period beyond the technical processing window described below.

How to request deletion

Send an email from the phone number's registered email or with the registered phone number in the body to:

Include in the email:

Your registered phone number (so we can match the account)
Your full name as registered in SureMedico
(Optional) reason for leaving — helps us improve the platform, but is not required to process the request

We acknowledge every request within 3 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, in line with Section 12 of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

What gets deleted

When we process your deletion request, the following are permanently removed from SureMedico servers:

Data category	What it contains
Account & profile	Name, phone number, qualifications, registration number, council, profile photo, clinic name and address, GPS coordinates
Verification documents	Medical registration certificate, degree photo, clinic permit (if uploaded)
Posts & comments	All circle posts and comments authored by you
Reviews	Vendor reviews, consultant reviews, professional reviews authored by you
Marketplace listings & inquiries	Items you listed and inquiries you sent
Co-purchase memberships	Your participation rows in equipment co-purchase pools
SOS history	SOS alerts you sent and incoming alerts you received
Booking history	Consultant requests and associate-coverage bookings (sent and received)
Direct messages	1:1 message threads where you are a participant
FCM push tokens	Device tokens used to send you push notifications
OTP delivery logs	Records of OTPs sent to your number
Brownie Points & leaderboard entries	All gamification data linked to your account

What we may retain (and for how long)

A small set of records may be retained for the limited purposes listed below:

Anonymised analytics counters — aggregate, non-identifying usage metrics that cannot be linked back to you. Retained indefinitely.
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) — device model, OS version, stack trace. No personal information is logged. Retained for up to 90 days in line with Firebase defaults.
Records required by law — if a request from a court, statutory authority, or council legally compels us to preserve a record, we retain it for the duration ordered. We will inform you at the email address you provided unless legally prohibited.

What does NOT happen on deletion

We do not sell, transfer, or share your data with any third party as part of the deletion process.
We do not charge a fee.
We do not require you to log in to a website to request deletion — the email path is sufficient.

Verifying your identity

To prevent malicious deletion requests, we may reply asking you to confirm by sending a short reply from a device that is currently logged into the SureMedico app with the same registered phone number. This is the only verification step.

After deletion

You can re-register at any time by reinstalling SureMedico and signing in with your phone number. A re-registered account is treated as new — none of your prior posts, reviews, or Brownie Points carry over.
